We are seeking couples who live together to participate in the PEARLS study!
What is the PEARLS study? Sexual well-being—sexual function, sexual satisfaction, and low sexual distress—is important for relationships and quality of life. The goal of the PEARLS study is to better understand how emotions and emotion regulation relate to sexual well-being.
There are two versions of the study: one for all couples who live in the Greater Vancouver area, and one for couples with at least one transgender and/or gender-diverse member who live outside of Vancouver.
IF YOU LIVE IN THE GREATER VANCOUVER, BC AREA:
What is involved?
- Online baseline survey
- One in-lab session where you and your partner will engage in filmed discussions while your physiological responses are recorded.
- Brief daily surveys for 14-days completed on your smart phone
- 4 online surveys at 3-, 6-, 12-, 18-months following your baseline survey.
Wondering if you are a good fit for the study? You may be eligible if you AND your partner…
- Are 18 years of age or older
- In a committed relationship of more than 2 years
- Currently live together
- Have a smartphone and regular access to the internet
- Are fluent in English
- Are living in Canada or the USA
- Live in the Greater Vancouver, BC area*
Compensation:
- Compensation will be provided for each component of the study up to a total of $200 CAD in Amazon gift cards ($400 CAD per couple).
