
We are seeking couples who live together to participate in the PEARLS study!
What is the PEARLS study? Sexual well-being—sexual function, sexual satisfaction, and low sexual distress—is important for relationships and quality of life. The goal of the PEARLS study is to better understand how emotions and emotion regulation relate to sexual well-being.
What is involved?
- Online baseline survey
- One in-lab session where you and your partner will engage in filmed discussions while your physiological responses are recorded.
- Brief daily surveys for 14-days completed on your smart phone
- 4 online surveys at 3-, 6-, 12-, 18-months following your baseline survey.
Wondering if you are a good fit for the study? You may be eligible if you AND your partner…
- Are 18 years of age or older
- In a committed relationship of more than 2 years
- Currently live together
- Have a smartphone and regular access to the internet
- Are fluent in English
- Are living in Canada or the USA
- Live in the Greater Vancouver, BC area*
- If you and/or your partner identify as transgender or gender diverse (e.g., nonbinary) and reside anywhere in Canada or the USA you may be eligible to participate in PEARLS.
*Inclusivity matters: PEARLS is open to people of all genders, bodies, and sexual orientations!
Compensation will be provided for each component of the study up to a total of $200 CAD in Amazon gift cards ($400 CAD per couple).
